How often have you watched a movie or television program where there is a climactic scene of someone uttering a few last words before death. It is understood by all that these words hold great meaning. All pretense is gone and now words from the heart will emerge that clarify the complex or cut through all the “fluff” to reveal the most important truths. Did you know that the context of reality is found in relationship? This can be difficult for us. We often understand relationships as being useful as long as they meet our purposes. The reality is that relationships are the essence of life. Just before Jesus died on the cross he prayed something amazing that shows us the focus of his heart.
